I find myself where the sea meets the sand
Tiny holes drilled by sea creatures
Bubbles clinging and swaying in the spray
It is something how the waves wash the sand clean
so quickly, giving life a new start
Thresholds are like that, places where change can
occur in an instant. There is no holding on here, sand castles
swept away before they have a chance to be inhabited, creating ditches where water seeps in quickly carving tiny canyons
To disrupt the life that is trying to hide
I have been hidden in canyons, I have dug myself deeper
to find tenuous resting places where even just
a child’s bucket could disrupt my world
This is how nature works. This is how life continues. Different every moment.
No saving, only re-forming
I visit the beach
To find myself there in the ever re-forming landscape,
the tide constantly turning, the moon conducting this symphony
of gravity and motion
Conducting the groundedness of my feet on sand
The blood traveling through my vessels
My tributaries of emotions, rising and falling with the tidal sways
I am always where sea meets sand, a little creature
A tiny star
