About Lea

I believe that happiness and fulfillment are the outcomes of self-awareness. Our souls ache for this and the planet needs us to be our most authentic selves in order to heal and thrive. After a career in education working towards this goal with children and educators, I have broadened my perspective and my reach in order to bring my work into the world in new ways. I am in a constant process of self-growth, reflection, renewal and joyful living. After a six-year period of intense loss, grief and transition, I have come to realize that love is at the heart of everything. Relationships are at the core. I walk, swim, cook, and bake to ground myself. I laugh a lot, at myself, at the craziness of this complicated world, and especially with my grand-babies. I travel, have adventures, visit friends and sip cups of tea and coffee whenever and wherever I can. I am nurturing my feminine energy and embracing this time in my life as I reinvent myself and settle into my elder being.

My work is a result and a reflection of my own journey. I work with anyone drawn to deep inner reflection, and especially people yearning to align more deeply with their feminine essence and power. I believe our world has overemphasized the masculine and we have lost our balance and lost our way.  I am a mindfulness and somatic coach, circle facilitator, grief guide, educator, writer and poet. I am a mother of grown daughters, a grandmother, a sister, an aunt, a friend, and a colleague. I am a feminine elder who approaches life with both  “beginner’s mind” and the intuitive gifts and wisdom of a life still being well-lived. I facilitate soul growth for individuals, groups, and communities. As a coach, I help my clients explore their experiences through their bodies, hearts, minds, and spirits. As a SoulCollage® facilitator, I use the collage process to help clients access deep levels of awareness. As a grief guide, I support clients as they grapple with their grieving process. I use writing, journaling, and poetry for reflection, integration, and self-expression. I work with the principles and processes developed through the Center for Courage and Renewal to awaken our truest selves and build circles of care and trust. I teach mindfulness techniques to folks of all ages so they may learn to better connect and be present with themselves and others.

There is so much more to learn and do, and there is also rest. I strive to embrace my ‘human-beingness’ and as I do so, I am finding truths about myself I never thought possible. If it’s possible for me, it is also possible for you. I would be honored to support you on your journey toward your own unique fullness of being!

I am proud to bring my new book of poetry into the world:

…and then she grew wings

This is a collection of poems written as I navigated the rocky path of grief, loss, abandoment and betrayal. You can find it on: Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Powell Books and bookshop.org
